Barcelona to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang?
Barcelona have emerged as surprise contenders to sign Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang during the winter transfer window.
The Gabon international has struggled for form over the past 18 months, and there is now speculation that he could leave the club.
Aubameyang has recently been stripped of captaincy after multiple disciplinary breaches, and he could be on his way out in January.
According to El Nacional, the Blaugrana are eyeing a new marksman, who can turn around their fortunes with regular goal contributions.
Aubameyang is one of the top names on Xavi Hernandez's radar, and it is claimed that the striker would be open to joining them.
The 32-year-old was valued at around £30m last summer. The Gunners may hold out for a similar fee to sanction his sale next month.
His departure could coincide with the purchase of another striker. The Gunners have been heavily linked with Fiorentina's Dusan Vlahovic.
Aubameyang did not make the make the squad against Southampton last week. It has been confirmed that he won't face West Ham United tomorrow.
