Chelsea to cool down Eden Hazard interest?
Chelsea are unlikely to make an approach to re-sign Eden Hazard after learning of Real Madrid's interest in Antonio Rudiger.
Hazard has endured an injury-plagued spell with Los Blancos, and it was recently claimed that the Blues could offer him an escape route.
The Belgian would entertain a reunion with the Blues, but that may not happen amid Los Blancos' imminent interest in Rudiger.
Rudiger will enter the final six months of his contract in January, and Los Blancos are ready to hand him a significant salary.
Owing to this, the German has rejected a contract proposal from the Blues. Daily Mail claims that owner Roman Abramovich is angered by this.
The west London giants were open to reuniting with Hazard in January, but Abramovich has decided to veto a potential approach.
Hazard may still have other options. It has been recently claimed that Newcastle United could make a shock move for him.
The Magpies were recently undertaken by a Saudi-led consortium, and they are expected to spend significantly at the turn of the year.
