Chelsea make transfer decision on Werner and Ziyech

Timo Werner news

Werner, Ziyech won't be sold in January

Chelsea are unlikely to entertain any bids for Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech during the January transfer window, according to Standard Sport.

The duo have been in-and-out of the starting line-up since joining the club last year, and there is speculation that they could be sold soon.

Werner is currently attracting interest from Bayern Munich, who are long-term admirers. He could reunite with former Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann.

Meanwhile, Ziyech has been heavily linked with Borussia Dortmund, but it appears that both players won't be leaving at the turn of the year.

According to Standard Sport, the Blues' hierarchy have no plans of parting ways with either player during the 2022 winter transfer window.

Thomas Tuchel is keen on having sufficient rotation options with the club still alive across five competitions including the Club World Cup.

The Blues are currently third in the Premier League standings, six points behind Manchester City. They have drawn their last two games.
