Three Serie A clubs want to sign Liverpool striker
Liverpool striker Divock Origi is attracting interest from three Serie A clubs, according to Sky Sports News.
The Belgian is a fan favourite among Reds fans following his Champions League heroics against Barcelona in 2019.
Despite this, he has never been a regular starter under Jurgen Klopp, and he could leave on a free transfer in the summer.
His current contract expires in six months' time. As many as three Serie A clubs are interested in negotiating a pre-contract.
The 26-year-old is aware of the situation, but he would prefer to continue in the Premier League with another club next season.
West Ham United and Aston Villa have been linked with him in the past, and the former are still searching for a new striker.
Flamengo's Gabriel Barbosa has been identified as their prime target, but the Brazilian side only prefer a straight-cash deal.
They could revive their interest in Origi, but the Reds are highly unlikely to sanction his departure midway through the season.
The Merseyside giants could be without Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane for the whole month due to the African Cup of Nations.
