West Ham United still keen on Manchester United star
West Ham United are likely to revive their interest in Jesse Lingard when his Manchester United contract expires this summer.
The attacker was hugely impressive on loan with the Hammers last season, bagging nine goals and five assists from 16 games.
He was fancied to join them permanently last summer, but a deal never materialised as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer blocked his exit.
Lingard was also happy to stay, but he has since endured a difficult time with the lack of regular playing time in the Premier League.
Earlier last month, it was anticipated that he could finally leave the club, but his exit was once again blocked by the club's hierarchy.
Interim boss Ralf Rangnick gave the green light for his departure, but Mason Greenwood's suspension changed the entire scenario.
Lingard is now free to choose his next club this summer when his contract concludes. The Hammers could be favourites to sign him.
Newcastle United are also in the mix, but Lingard's past success with the Hammers could see him reunited with manager David Moyes.
