Frank Lampard looking to sign Chelsea midfielder?

Everton manager Frank Lampard will attempt to sign Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher on loan this summer.

The 22-year-old is currently on loan at Crystal Palace where he has excelled with seven goals and five assists.

The Blues have no plans of selling him anytime soon, but there are suggestions that he could be loaned out again.

According to TeamTalk, Lampard has been impressed with Gallagher's progress, and will seek to sign him.

The 43-year-old was appointed as the Toffees manager in late January, and managed to make a couple of signings.

Donny van de Beek and Dele Alli joined before the winter transfer deadline, but the former was only signed on loan.

Van de Beek may push for a permanent exit from Manchester United, but Lampard is eyeing more midfield reinforcements.

Gallagher fits his requirements for a creative midfielder, but the Blues remain undecided over the player's situation.

Thomas Tuchel has already confirmed that Gallagher has a future at the club.
