Arsenal keeping tabs on Italian striker
Arsenal are keeping tabs on Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca ahead of the summer transfer window, FC Inter News claims.
The Gunners are expected to pursue a new striker with the likes of Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah struggling to find the back of the net.
Both players have their contracts expiring at the end of the June. There is a possibility that the duo could leave on free transfers this summer.
It is now reported that the Gunners are monitoring the performances of Scamacca, who has netted 13 goals in the Serie A this season.
The Italian could be available for around €40 million this summer, but the Gunners are likely to struggle to convince him to join them.
Scamacca reportedly has a 'verbal agreement' with Inter Milan, and may only consider other options if the Nerazzuzzi decide against signing him.
Aside from Scamacca, the Gunners have been monitoring the performances of Benfica's Darwin Nunez and Lille's Jonathan David in recent months.
