Arsenal midfielder suffers recurrence of injury
Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has suffered a recurrence of a thigh injury which could keep him out of action for weeks.
The Ghanaian has been in exceptional form for the Gunners this year, but had a poor outing against Crystal Palace yesterday.
He struggled to cope with the Eagles' intensity. His game eventually ended early after picking up a thigh problem in the second half.
According to The Athletic, the Gunners are yet to find the exact nature of the setback, but Partey is unlikely to return anytime soon.
The midfielder is expected to be on the sidelines for the coming weeks which will be a huge blow for the Gunners in the top-four race.
The north London giants have made the worst possible start after the international break with Kieran Tierney already out for the season.
Tierney sustained a knee injury on international duty last week. It has been confirmed that he will require a surgery for the untimely setback.
