Arsenal midfielder agrees terms over permanent transfer
Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira has agreed terms with Fiorentina ahead of his permanent move this summer, Football Insider claims.
The Uruguayan was deemed surplus to requirements by manager Mikel Arteta last summer, and was subsequently loaned out to Fiorentina.
He has since enjoyed an impressive season with five goals and one assist from 27 Serie A outings. La Viola are now looking to sign permanently.
The Serie A outfit have a buy clause worth €15 million agreed with the Gunners, and they are expected to trigger the option over the coming weeks.
Torreira has already given the go-ahead for the permanent transfer. The former Sampdoria man has agreed terms over a four-year contract.
Aside from Torreira, the Gunners will also lose Matteo Guendouzi this year. He will join Marseille on a permanent basis after his loan stint.
The Gunners will recoup around €10m through his sale. The funds will be beneficial ahead of another spending spree planned for the summer.
