Arsenal keen on signing Manchester City striker

Gabriel Jesus news

Jesus to Arsenal?

Arsenal are reportedly keen on landing Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus during this summer's transfer window.

The Brazilian has been in-and-out of the starting line-up for the Cityzens this term, but has still bagged 12 goals and 11 assists.

According to The Athletic, the Gunners are favourites to sign the 25-year-old, who is widely expected to leave the Cityzens.

Pep Guardiola's side are presently in advanced talks to sign Erling Haaland and the Norwegian is expected to be the main striker.

This should pave the way for Jesus' exit. With just 14 months left on his contract, he could be available for a knockdown fee.

The Gunners are deemed favourites to sign him this summer with technical director Edu Gaspar on constant contact with his agent.

Jesus is also open to the idea of joining the Gunners, but there could be further competition from abroad for his services.

Inter Milan and Juventus are among admirers, but the Gunners could lure him with the assurance of a starting spot up front.
