Arsenal need to pay €80m to sign former Chelsea star
Arsenal will reportedly need to pay €80m to sign former Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham this summer.
The Gunners are eyeing two centre-forwards during the summer transfer window, and Abraham is regarded as a potential target.
The striker was on their radar last summer, but the Giallorossi made the better proposal on the table while finalising a buy-back clause.
He was signed for €40 million by the Serie A outfit. The Blues agreed the option to re-sign him for €80m at the end of next season.
According to football.london, Roma have no plans of selling Abraham to Arsenal this summer unless they meet the same price.
The Giallorossi consider Abraham as an integral part of their plans, and are only willing to sanction his sale for a significant sum.
Arsenal are yet to make a formal approach, but it is likely that they may look elsewhere due to the hefty price tag for the striker.
The Gunners are wary of paying exorbitant fees after the struggles experienced by Nicolas Pepe since his move from Lille.
