Manchester United enter race for French midfielder
Manchester United have joined Arsenal and Liverpool in the race to sign Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni.
The Frenchman has been in fine form for the Principality outfit this season, averaging more than 2.5 tackles per game.
His performances have been rewarded with a regular role with France. He could now pursue a bigger challenge at club level.
According to AS, Monaco are willing to part ways with Tchouameni this summer if they receive an offer of around £57m.
United are one of the clubs in the running to sign the defensive midfielder, but they face competition from the Gunners and Reds.
The lack of Champions League football is a big blow for the Red Devils, but they could still lure him with a lucrative wage package.
Aside from Tchouameni, United have been linked with the likes of Declan Rice, James Ward-Prowse, Ruben Neves and Yves Bissouma.
The Red Devils may potentially pursue more than one midfielder this summer with both Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba heading out.
