Man Utd defender to hold crunch talks with Ten Hag
Manchester United defender Harry Maguire is scheduled to hold crunch talks with manager Erik ten Hag regarding his future.
The England international had a dismal 2021/22 campaign with the Red Devils where he was prone to several defensive errors.
This has led to serious questions whether Maguire should continue as captain. Ten Hag recently refused to rule out a change.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Maguire now plans to hold talks with Ten Hag to know his status within the squad.
The Red Devils are actively pursuing a new centre-back, and this should concern Maguire ahead of the World Cup.
If he becomes a bench player for United, there is a possibility that he could miss out on the global showpiece starting in November.
United are undecided over Maguire, but reports claim that Eric Bailly and Phil Jones are free to leave the club this summer.
Bailly has already been in talks with Marseille and Lyon through his agents.
