David Ornstein believes midfielder will sign for Man Utd
According to The Athletic's David Ornstein, Christian Eriksen is likely to join Manchester United during the ongoing transfer window.
The Dane suffered a cardiac arrest scare at the European Championships last summer, but has since made an outstanding comeback.
There were initially fears whether he can perform at the top level, but he has defied odds by impressing for club and country this year.
Eriksen joined Brentford on a short-term deal in January, and he made a superb impact for them with four goals and one assist from 11 games.
His contract with the Bees expires on June 30, and Ornstein believes the Red Devils are the front-runners to sign him on a long-term contract.
Tottenham Hotspur were linked with him at the beginning of the summer, but the north London outfit have distanced themselves from a move.
United face direct competition from Brentford, and should have the edge with European football and the chance to win major trophies.
