Chelsea want to sign Inter midfield sensation

Chelsea have failed with an opening bid to sign Inter Milan midfield prodigy Cesare Casadei this summer.

The Blues are on the look out for new central defenders, but they are also focusing on the future by signing future talents.

Casadei has caught the eye over the past few months, and they have now made a formal transfer proposal to the Nerazzurri.

Their opening bid between €7-8m has been rejected, but the Blues remain optimistic of landing the 19-year-old talent.

Inter are prepared to sell him for a decent transfer fee, but they are said to demand a buy-back clause to sanction his exit.

It is unlikely that the Blues will accept the offer, but they are expected to come up with a better proposal to sign the teenager.

Chelsea have made just two signings in Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly thus far. More purchases are expected soon.

They are hot on the trail of Leicester City's Jules Kounde.
