Erik ten Hag wants Man Utd to sign Hakim Ziyech
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is reportedly keen on reuniting with out-of-favour Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech this summer.
Ziyech was a key player under Ten Hag at Ajax for two-and-a-half seasons before he made the lucrative move to Chelsea in 2020.
He was touted to make a big impact for the west London giants, but that has hardly been the case amid inconsistency and competition for places.
AC Milan have been in talks to sign him from the Blues in recent weeks, but they are reluctant to negotiate a permanent transfer.
Amidst this, French journalist Nabil Djellit claims that Ten Hag wants to reunite with Ziyech, but he has yet to receive United's approval.
Ten Hag was initially keen on landing Antony from his former club Ajax, but United have ended their interest due to the £84m price tag.
Ziyech has now emerged as an option for the Dutch tactician, but he won't come for cheap with Chelsea eyeing around £25 million to sell.
Whether United make such an outlay on a 29-year-old remains to be seen. Ziyech can comfortably play on the right wing and the no.10 role.
