Chelsea planning to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang?
Chelsea are reportedly planning a shock approach to sign former Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Aubameyang left the Gunners in January this year. He was allowed to join Barcelona on a free transfer agreement.
He was in sparkling form for them with 14 goal contributions, but Barcelona have still gone on to sign Robert Lewandowski.
With the Pole's arrival, Aubameyang may need to play as a back-up striker, and this has led to suggestions that he could leave.
Chelsea are looking to capitalise on the situation, but it remains to be seen whether the former Arsenal captain joins them.
Aubameyang has the chance to reunite with his former Borussia Dortmund manager in Thomas Tuchel with a move to Chelsea.
However, he may have second thoughts due to their rivarly with the Gunners.
Meanwhile, a separate report from Mundo Deportivo claims that Aubameyang is not aiming to leave Barcelona this summer.
He joined them with the plan of playing three seasons, and does not want to end the stint prematurely after just six months.
