Issa Diop moves to Fulham from West Ham
Issa Diop has completed a transfer to Fulham from West Ham, as the Irons reportedly prepare to wrap up a deal to sign the French defender's replacement. During a four year spell with the Irons, Diop played 121 times and was a crucial member of the first-team squad. The arrival of Kurt Zouma had left Diop's first-team opportunities somewhat limited though, and now he has decided to transfer to the Craven Cottage outfit in search of a starting XI berth.
West Ham paid a total of £15 million to sign the defender, who caught the eye in his first campaign in the Premier League with some solid defensive displays.
“I’m very happy, very happy to join Fulham, I hope it’s going to be a very good chapter of my career,” Diop told the Fulham website.
“It’s all official now, so I’m happy. I just want to train with the team now, and let’s get to work.”
Thilo Kehrer is reportedly the player that West Ham want to sign as a replacement for Diop.
