'Devastated': Thomas Tuchel breaks silence after Chelsea sack
Thomas Tuchel has said that he is devastated that his time with Chelsea has come to an end.
The German was hugely successful during his 19-month stint with the Blues, winning three trophies including the Champions League.
Despite this, the Blues hierarchy were not impressed with the start to the current season, and he was sacked after the Dinamo Zagreb loss.
Tuchel has now broken his silence through his official Twitter account, he wrote: "I am devastated that my time at Chelsea has come to an end."
"This is a club where I felt at home, both professionally and personally. Thank you so much to all the staff, the players and the supporters for making me feel very welcome from the start."
Tuchel was dismissed on Wednesday morning, and he is said to have been shocked by the decision as the owners backed him this summer.
All the signings were made under his recommendation which made it surprising that he was sacked after just seven games this term.
