Jose Mourinho wants Chelsea defender at AS Roma
AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly keen on luring Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea during the January transfer window.
The Blues graduate was widely fancied to leave on loan this summer, but changed his stance after the intervention of the hierarchy.
However, he has since played just 90 minutes and was an unused substitute against RB Salzburg in Graham Potter's first game in charge.
According to Football Transfers, Mourinho has his sights on the young defender and could make an attempt to land him in January.
The Giallorossi previously signed Tammy Abraham from the Blues last year. They purchased him for €40m with a €80m buy-back clause.
The Serie A giants may propose a similar agreement for Chalobah this winter, and it remains to be seen whether the Blues accept it.
Chelsea plan to spend another £260m in the next two transfer windows, and a new centre-back could be among priorities for the club.
It is well known that they are interested in RB Leipzig's Josko Gvardiol and a deal for him could pave the way for Chalobah's exit.
