Graham Potter wants former Arsenal youngster?
Chelsea manager Graham Potter is reportedly keen on signing former Arsenal youngster Ismael Bennacer.
The Englishman took charge as the Blues manager earlier this month following the surprise sacking of Thomas Tuchel.
The former Brighton boss has managed just one game thus far, but it is clear that he will be backed in the transfer market next year.
Potter will want signings that meet his philosophy, and Calciomercato cite that Bennacer could be one of the targets.
Bennacer was previously with rivals Arsenal, but made just one appearance for them before leaving for Empoli in 2017.
Two years later, the Algerian made the switch to Milan, and he has since been a regular at the heart of their midfield.
It is unlikely that Milan will sanction any exits in January, but a summer transfer could be a realistic solution for them.
The Rossoneri are bound to consider his sale, particularly if he has no plans of signing a new contract beyond June 2024.
He currently has a release clause worth €50m, but could be prised away for much less at the end of the current campaign.
