Cristiano Ronaldo set to be dropped for Manchester derby
Cristiano Ronaldo looks set to be dropped to the bench when Manchester United face Manchester City in the Premier League.
The Portugal international has endured a difficult start to the new campaign where he has been in-and-out of the line-up.
He started the last two games before the international break, but he is expected to return to the bench for Sunday's Manchester derby.
Marcus Rashford has been superb as the main striker this term. He has already amassed three goals and two assists from six games.
Ronaldo recently benefited from his absence with a muscle injury, but the England star is now fully fit to face the Cityzens.
The 24-year-old tends to excel in the big matches for United. He has already scored four goals against Pep Guardiola's side.
He should fancy his chances tomorrow, considering the Cityzens are missing two of their main central defenders at the moment.
John Stones is sidelined with a groin injury while Aymeric Laporte is doubtful. Nathan Ake or Manuel Akanji could partner Ruben Dias.
