Erik ten Hag provides Christian Eriksen fitness update
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has provided an update on Christian Eriksen ahead of tomorrow's Premier League game against Tottenham Hotspur.
The Dane was a huge miss against Newcastle United last weekend where the Red Devils drew 0-0. He was sidelined with an illness.
Speaking before the Spurs game, Ten Hag has confirmed that the 30-year-old has returned to training, but still needs to be assessed.
Eriksen has been operating from the number eight role for the Red Devils, but there could be a possible swap in positions tomorrow.
Bruno Fernandes has been a huge disappointment from the number 10 spot and we could see Eriksen play in the role against Spurs.
If that happens, it could be Scott McTominay and Casemiro playing together in the centre of the park, something that has rarely happened.
McTominay and Casemiro have shared their minutes from the defensive midfield position, but it could be time to pair them together.
United are presently three points adrift of the Champions League spots.
