Chelsea have opened the door to sell goalkeeper Edouard Mendy during next summer's transfer window, according to Foot Mercato.

The Senegal international was superb for the Blues in his debut season in 2020/21 but was prone to some high-profile errors last term.

He has continued to struggle between the sticks this campaign and it is now reported that the Blues are eyeing a new shot-stopper for next season.

The London giants have apparently stalled talks with Mendy over a new deal and are now looking at the prospect of offloading him.

Aside from Mendy, Kepa Arrizabalaga could also be shown the exit door despite his resurgence under Graham Potter this campaign.

Chelsea want to capitalise on his recent revival by selling him for a decent fee. The Spaniard cost a staggering £72m from Athletic Bilbao.

Gabriel Slonina could be promoted as the back-up goalkeeper next term. Porto's Diogo Costa is one of the top targets for the London side.
