Arsenal now looking at signing Brazilian striker
Arsenal are considering the option of signing Atletico Madrid striker Matheus Cunha during the winter transfer window.
The Brazilian has been a regular substitute during his time at Atletico and he is expected to leave them in the New Year.
The player has been in talks with Wolves over a transfer but The Athletic claim that the Gunners are also in the pursuit.
The Gunners are currently short in the striking department following the knee surgery for Gabriel Jesus. He is out for three months.
The club want a quality replacement who won't cost a fortune and Cunha could be an ideal signing for them next month.
The former Hertha Berlin man could be available for around £26 million.
Arsenal should have a clear advantage over Wolves, who are currently languishing at the bottom of the league standings.
Meanwhile, Manchester United could enter the race for Cunha at the turn of the year after failing with an enquiry last summer.
