Exclusive: Mudryk signs 5-year deal at Arsenal
Arsenal, having been given permission to discuss personal terms with Mykhaylo Mudryk, have agreed a five year contract with the Ukraine international. The impressive young forward has been linked with a transfer to the Emirates Stadium since last summer, and now it is up to the Gunners to agree a fee for the player with Shakhtar.
Edu has met with Mudryk and the player's agents and all that now remains is for Arsenal and Shakhtar to agree a transfer fee. It is understood that the Ukrainian side are seeking at least 80 million euros for the talented youngster, with Arsenal offering £50 million plus a further £10 million in performance related bonuses to his club.
Mudryk is the Gunners' primary transfer target for the January transfer window, and Arsenal fans will be delighted that progress has been made so quickly this month.
Chelsea had made a last minute offer for the player, but Mudryk's heart has been set on a move to Arsenal since day one.
Brighton and Hove Albion's manager Roberto De Zerbi previously coached Mudryk and has labelled Mudryk a "future Ballon D'Or winner". The prodigious talent will provide back up to Arsenal's attack of Gabriel Martinelli, Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka.
