Chelsea agree loan transfer of Joao Felix
Chelsea have reached a verbal agreement with Atletico Madrid to sign Joao Felix on loan, The Athletic report.
The Portuguese was recently fancied to move to the Premier League with interest from Arsenal and Manchester United.
However, the Blues have now won the race to land him. They have agreed to pay around €11 million for the loan transfer.
Meanwhile, the west London giants will also cover his entire £245,000-a-week salary between now and the end of June.
Felix was not on the Blues' radar at the beginning of the transfer window, but their stance changed in the past few days.
After injuries to Raheem Sterling and Christian Pulisic, the club had to step up their interest and have now sealed the deal.
The Blues are now keen on finalising his move as soon as possible. Felix could also make his debut against Fulham.
For this to happen, he needs to be registered by tomorrow 12pm. The Blues travel to Craven Cottage on Thursday night.
