Manchester United are unlikely to sign Joao Felix or Memphis Depay during the ongoing transfer window, according to The Telegraph.

The Red Devils are on the hunt for a new striker and they are currently said to prefer a low-cost loan option in the transfer market.

Atletico Madrid's Joao Felix was under consideration at one point of time, but they have cooled their interest due to the high fee.

The Spanish giants want 12 million euros to sanction a loan deal and they also want the commitment to buy for 80 million euros.

As a result, United have apparently ended their pursuit. Meanwhile, a deal for Memphis Depay is also unlikely to happen for now.

Depay has entered the final six months of his deal with Barcelona and the Catalans are prepared to sell him on a cut-price fee.

However, United are only looking at a loan deal. Meanwhile, they are reluctant to hand any future assurances to the player.
