Edin Dzeko in shock move to Man Utd?
Manchester United are weighing up a shock move to sign Inter Milan striker Edin Dzeko this January, in a deal worth a reported 2 million euros. It is understood that the Bosnia and Herzegovina striker is very interested in a return to Manchester, despite having played for United's bitter rivals Man City between the years of 2011 and 2016.
Dzeko had a wonderful spell with Manchester City, scoring 50 goals in 130 games, and has continued his rich form in Serie A with Roma and with Inter Milan, his current side. At Inter, Dzeko has scored 20 Serie A goals in 53 games, an impressive record. Despite Dzeko being 36-years-old, United manager Erik Ten Hag still wants to bring in a forward to challenge Marcus Rashford and Martial for a starting berth up front at Old Trafford.
Already this season, Dzeko has appeared in 17 Serie A games and scored 7 goals, with a further 6 appearances and three goals in Europe.
It is understood that Atletico Madrid have previously considered a move for Dzeko, but are not willing to match the transfer fee that Erik Ten Hag's side are willing to pay.
