Graham Potter confirms double Chelsea injury blow

Chelsea manager Graham Potter has confirmed that Christian Pulisic and Raheem Sterling could be sidelined for several weeks.

The duo picked up injuries in the first half of the Premier League defeat to Manchester City last weekend and they are now out for a while.

Speaking in today's press conference, Potter confirmed that Pulisic will be sidelined for a period of two months at least with a knee injury.

Meanwhile, the Blues boss was more hopeful over Sterling and believes the England star could be available for selection much earlier.

He said: "Christian is a couple of months we think, hopefully, less, but that’s the timeframe. Raheem less but we’re still evaluating the extent of it. Hopefully less than that, though."

The Blues are currently 10th in the league standings with 25 points. They are already 10 points adrift of Manchester United for the fourth spot.

Hence, they are playing catch up to the Champions League places and need to be perfect hereon in order to close down on the huge gap.
