Arsenal to sign new midfielder amid Elneny concern?
Arsenal could enter the transfer market for a new midfielder amid concerns over Mohamed Elneny's fitness.
The Egyptian suffered a serious hamstring injury during the initial part of the season and he was ruled out for around two months.
The midfielder has now picked up a fresh concern and reports claim that the Gunners could be forced to sign a replacement.
Elneny will be assessed in the coming days. If the injury is severe, the London giants could pursue a new defensive midfielder.
Danilo was an option for the Gunners in the last transfer window, but the Brazilian recently made the switch to Nottingham Forest.
Meanwhile, the club have also cooled their interest in Aston Villa's Douglas Luiz and will have to find a different solution this month.
Arsenal must have sufficient cover in midfield, considering Partey has been injury prone since arriving at the club from Atletico.
Partey has been splendid alongside Granit Xhaka in midfield, but fans are still wary of him sustaining another potential injury.
