Liverpool to sign Manchester United target for free?

Liverpool could reportedly sign Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot on a free transfer this summer.

The Frenchman was close to joining Manchester United last summer, but the deal broke down on personal terms.

Rabiot has since had a good season with the Bianconeri, but he has no plans of extending his contract expiring in June.

The midfielder has his sights on a Premier League move and Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Liverpool could sign him.

United boss Erik ten Hag was keen on linking up with the World Cup finalist last summer but a deal did not materialise.

It is unclear whether the Red Devils will return for him, but their arch-rivals could make a serious contract proposal.

Rabiot has made eight goal contributions for the Bianconeri this term.

He has excelled from the central midfield role. The 27-year-old also helped Les Bleus in their run to the World Cup final.

Apart from the Reds, we could see Arsenal make an effort to land his services. They have been long-term admirers of him.
