Arsenal to sign former player from AC Milan?

Arsenal have been touted to sign former midfielder Ismael Bennacer from AC Milan, according to The Sun.

The Gunners are expected to land another defensive midfielder this summer and they are currently looking at different options.

It is reported that Bennacer is one of the names on their wishlist and they could be prepared to swap him for Folarin Balogun.

The Algerian has been a key player for Milan over the past few years and he signed a new long-term contract in January.

Hence, the Rossoneri are under no pressure to sell him but they could be tempted by the proposal made by the Gunners.

The Milan giants are looking to bolster their frontline in the summer and Balogun is reportedly one of their main targets.

Balogun has had a sensational campaign on loan with Reims. He has registered a stunning tally of 19 goals thus far.

The youngster has no plans to continue with the Gunners next season unless he is guaranteed a starting spot which is unlikely.
