Chelsea to battle Man Utd for Spanish goalkeeper?
Chelsea could compete with Manchester United to sign Brentford goalkeeper David Raya this summer.
The Spaniard has been superb for Brentford since their Premier League promotion last term but he is now eyeing a new challenge.
He will enter the final year of his contract this summer and The Sun report that he has his sights on joining another top Premier League side.
Chelsea and United have been linked with his services but the former could have an advantage in the transfer pursuit this summer.
United are currently in the process of finalising a new contract with David de Gea and he is expected to continue as the number one.
Raya would not want to play second fiddle next season and this could entice him to join the Blues where he could be the first-choice keeper.
The Blues are planning to offload both Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga in the summer. Raya could be signed for around £40 million.
