Southampton open to selling Chelsea and Arsenal target

Southampton are open to selling midfielder Romeo Lavia, who has been linked with Chelsea and Arsenal in recent weeks.

The Belgian joined the Saints from Manchester City for £14 million last summer and he has been superb in the centre of the park.

The teenager has caught the eye with his intelligent distribution and ability to win duels. He is expected to leave the Saints soon.

According to 90min, Manchester City have the option to re-sign Lavia for £40 million next summer but the Saints could sell him earlier.

The South Coast outfit plan to make a higher profit through his exit and they could demand as much as £50m in the next transfer window.

Chelsea and Arsenal are the main admirers of the youngster but Manchester United could also compete for his services in the summer.

We won't be surprised if Manchester City make an attempt to re-sign him as well. Pep Guardiola was full of praise for him recently.
