Chelsea star pushing for free transfer departure
Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is reportedly pushing for a free transfer exit this summer.
The Gabon ace joined the Blues from Barcelona for £10m last summer but he has played just 800 minutes this season.
The striker has been clearly ignored for a starting role and he is now eyeing a potential return to Barcelona.
Chelsea are willing to offload him for a small fee but Aubameyang is set to insist on a contract termination.
Barcelona are currently facing Financial Fair Play issues and they are not in a position to spend transfer fees.
However, the Catalan giants could still pursue players on free transfers.
They have opened the door for Aubameyang to return but a move now depends on him being released.
Aubameyang was impressive during his short stint with Barcelona, scoring 13 goals from 24 appearances in all competitions.
The ex-Arsenal man decided to leave after the arrival of Robert Lewandowski. He is now prepared to accept a back-up role.
