Chelsea and Man Utd told to pay £50m for Portuguese star
Chelsea and Manchester United have been told to pay £50 million to sign Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha this summer.
The Portuguese has been a superb acquisition for the Cottagers and he has made more tackles than any other player in the Premier League.
Hence, his stock has definitely risen from his arrival from Sporting and it is now claimed that he could be sold for a profit in the summer.
According to Football Insider, the Cottagers are prepared to part ways with the 27-year-old if they receive a fee in the region of £50 million.
Chelsea and United have already expressed an interest in signing him and it remains to be seen whom Palhinha joins at the end of the season.
Palhinha has been a shining light for the Cottagers and has had a big part to play in them staying clear of the relegation dogfight in the league.
Losing him could have a detrimental effect for them next season but they would not want to miss out on the opportunity to gain funds.
