Man Utd star finally agrees terms over new contract
Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has finally agreed terms over a new long-term contract.
The Spain international has been a vital figure for the Red Devils over the past 12 years but his position has come under scrutiny.
The 32-year-old has made blunders against Sevilla and West Ham United recently which has led to criticism from some fans.
Despite this, he continues to receive the support from manager Erik ten Hag and he has now agreed terms in principle to stay.
De Gea is set to sign a new contract beyond next summer with a pay-cut but there are no assurances over his starting position.
As per The Telegraph, Ten Hag may still choose to bring in another marquee keeper to replace the Spaniard in goal.
Brentford's David Raya and Porto's Diogo Costa are among candidates that could take over the gloves from De Gea next term.
De Gea is expected to start in the remaining five games of the current campaign so long as he does not make more errors.
