Chelsea & Arsenal to miss out on Ivory Coast star?
Chelsea and Arsenal could miss out on signing Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha at the end of the season.
The Ivory Coast international has been one of the best wingers in the Premier League and it was recently claimed that he could leave Palace at the expiry of his contract in July.
However, according to The Independent, the forward has had a change of stance and he could end up penning a new long-term contract with the Eagles this summer.
Zaha is eager to play Champions League football and win trophies but the prospect of staying with the south London club on record wages could be too hard to refuse.
Zaha is currently earning £130,000 weekly and Palace are prepared to pay him around £200,000 per week in order to sign a new five-year contract with them.
The news could come as a potential blow for Chelsea and Arsenal, who have looked at the possibility of signing him on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.
