Arsenal agree club-record transfer for 24yo star
Arsenal have reached an agreement to sign West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice this summer, according to The Athletic.
The Gunners agreed a club-record deal worth £105 million with the Hammers last week, but negotiations continued over payment terms.
It is now revealed that Arsenal will pay £100m up front for the 24-year-old. They are expected to pay the sum over a period of 24 months.
Rice has been given permission to travel for his medical tests, and his record transfer could be finalised by the end of the week.
Arsenal have been very active during the early weeks of the transfer window and they have already spent over £200m on signings.
Aside from Rice, the Gunners have already signed Kai Havertz from Chelsea while Jurrien Timber will join from Ajax very soon.
The north London giants are likely to pursue more signings, but their current focus could be on recouping funds from player sales.
The club are planning to secure at least £100m from exits. Granit Xhaka and Folarin Balogun are among those that could leave soon.
