Raul Jimenez set for Fulham move as Wolves exit nears
Fulham and Wolves have agreed a transfer fee that will allow Mexico international striker Raul Jimenez to depart Molineux. It is understood Fulham have had a bid of £7 million accepted, and the player has travelled to Craven Cottage for a first round of discussions regarding personal terms.
It is hoped that a contract will be agreed this week, and a medical to follow shortly thereafter, and that Jimenez will be Fulham's first choice striker ahead of the Premier League 2023/24 season.
With Aleksandar Mitrovic likely on his way to Saudi Arabia, the Cottagers have been forced to move quickly to secure a replacement, and manager Marco Silva will be delighted to have snapped up Jimenez so quickly.
It is understood that Mitrovic has so far refused to train or play pre-season games for Fulham, and there continues to remain a cloud of speculation over the long-term future of coach Marco Silva.
This could certainly be a very important summer for the Cottagers, with fans longing for a decision to be made by Marco Silva ahead of the new campaign.
