Kiliann Sildillia has emerged as a potential transfer target for Arsenal, as the SC Freiburg defender reportedly requests a transfer away from the Bundesliga side in favour a move to England. Sildillia has spent three years in Germany since making a move from Metz, where the 21-year-old spent ten years emerging as a youth talent.

Kiliann Sildillia has played for France at every youth international level, from under-16 through to under-20, and is expected to eventually progress into France's full national team.

Arsenal are seeking a long-term challenger to William Saliba and Gabriel for the future, and Sildillia could be available for around 20 million euros.

There remains uncertainty over the long term future of Rob Holding at the club, meanwhile Takehiro Tomiyasu is likely to be deployed as a left-back this season, and new signing Jurrien Timber is preferred as an inverted right-back.

Chelsea had also expressed interest in the defender, but ultimately Arsenal are the player's preferred destination and a move is set to be agreed before the end of the trasnfer window.
