Brentford enquire about signing Arsenal striker
Brentford have enquired over the possibility of signing Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal in the current transfer window.
The Bees suffered a huge blow earlier in the year with the suspension of Ivan Toney. He won't be involved until mid-January.
As a result, the club are exploring a new striking option for the squad and reports claim that they have looked at Nketiah.
During the recent negotiations for David Raya, the Bees enquired over Nketiah to which Arsenal responded with a high price tag.
The Gunners have not ruled out the possible sale of their club graduate, but they plan to hold out for at least £35 million.
Nketiah started on the bench in the Community Shield against Manchester City. Kai Havertz led the line for the Gunners.
The former Chelsea man did not find the back of the net, but he was impressive with his hold-up and link-up play.
The German should have scored on two occasions, but there were plenty of positives from his overall performance on debut.
