Another injury blow for Chelsea, defender out until December

Chelsea have suffered another injury blow with defender Ben Chilwell out of action until early December.

The Englishman has been in-and-out of the starting line-up for the Blues this term. He picked up a hamstring issue in the closing stages against Brighton last week and it seems a bad one.

Mauricio Pochettino recently revealed that Chilwell could be out for a while and the Blues have now confirmed that the former Leicester man will be sidelined for two months.

Chelsea are well covered in the left-back spot this season. Despite Chilwell's injury, they have Levi Colwill, Marc Cucurella and Ian Maatsen to operate from the position.

However, the fans will be bitterly disappointed by Chilwell's setback, considering the Englishman is the best attacking left-back in the first-team squad at the moment.

Alongside Chilwell, right-back Reece James is also on the sidelines at the moment with a hamstring injury of his own. This has limited the club's creativity from out wide.
