David Ornstein updates on Arsenal's interest in Dominic Solanke
David Ornstein has revealed that Arsenal have no interest in signing Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke in January.
Mikel Arteta's side have been fancied to sign a new centre-forward and they have been linked with multiple players in recent weeks.
Brentford's Ivan Toney has been mentioned as the top target for the club while Solanke is said to be the alternative for the manager.
In a Q&A session on The Athletic, Ornstein was quick to dismiss the Gunners' interest in signing Solanke during the January window.
The reputed journalist clarified that the Gunners are not planning for a new striker at the moment with transfer funds being limited.
He added that he has no knowledge about the club's interest in Solanke, but acknowledged that Toney is one of the names eyed.
Toney has given the green light to join the Gunners at the start of 2024, but it is unclear whether Arsenal will match the £60m asking price.
