Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold suffers injury
Trent Alexander-Arnold has sustained an injury that will keep him out of action for at least a few weeks. The Liverpool star, who has been a bright spark of a so far impressive season, sustained an injury in the FA Cup win over Arsenal at the Emirates.
Alexander-Arnold played as captain in place of Virgil Van Dijk for the game againt the Gunners, and now Jurgen Klopp's assistant confirmed that the England international will miss some games: "He has a little tear in the lateral ligament of his knee and he will need time to recover. He had a scan and he will be out for a few weeks, so let's see after that."
This adds to Liverpool's current injury woes, as the likes of Andy Robertson remain on the sidelines, adding to the Anfield side's problems as they look to continue the good form of this campaign, that has seen them lose just one time in the Premier League.
It is likely that the only Premier League games Trent will miss are the 21st Jan game against Bournemouth and the 31st January tie against Chelsea.
