Arsenal want to offload Partey to sign Spanish star

Arsenal have plans to offload midfielder Thomas Partey this summer to sign Real Sociedad ace Martin Zubimendi.

Zubimendi has been a long-term target for Gunners manager Mikel Arteta but the midfielder has been reluctant to leave Sociedad.

He helped the La Liga outfit finish in the top four last season and decided that he wanted to play Champions League football with them.

Sociedad have continued to impress in all competitions but Zubimendi is anticipated to pursue a new challenge during the summer.

Sport claim that the Gunners are aware of the same and they will be looking to offload Partey to recoup some of the funds for the move.

Partey has been on the radar of Barcelona and Juventus recently but it is reported that he is more likely to end up in Saudi Arabia.

A number of Saudi clubs enquired over his services last summer and the Gunners remain hopeful of securing a reasonable transfer fee.
