Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Wolves, 5 players dropped
Chelsea will be aiming to return to winning ways when they host Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League this afternoon.
The Blues suffered an embarrassing 4-1 loss to Liverpool in midweek. They were completely outplayed and dropped to 10th in the table as a result.
Predicted Line-up:
Djordje Petrovic has been brilliant in goal since his debut. Against Liverpool, he made several key saves and helped the Blues avoid further embarrassment with a heavier defeat.
In defence, there could be a couple of changes from the midweek game. Benoit Badiashile and Ben Chilwell looked out of sorts at Anfield and are likely to be dropped to the bench.
Malo Gusto should start at right-back. Axel Disasi should return in central defence to partner Thiago Silva. At left-back, Levi Colwill could make his comeback after a minor groin issue.
Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo had a tough outing in Merseyside after receiving early bookings. Both midfielders will be keen to prove themselves when they face Wolves today.
Further forward, we anticipate Conor Gallagher to be dropped after a mediocre performance. The same could happen with Raheem Sterling and Noni Madueke, who barely offered a threat on goal.
Cole Palmer looks likely to start from the number 10 position with Christopher Nkunku on the right flank. Mykhailo Mudryk could start on the left wing with Nicolas Jackson leading the attack.
Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1): Petrovic; Gusto, Disasi, Silva, Colwill; Fernandez, Caicedo; Nkunku, Palmer, Mudryk; Jackson.
