Arsenal to return for Brazilian midfielder?
Arsenal are planning to revive their interest in signing Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz.
The Gunners have had a long-term interest in landing the Brazilian. They made multiple bids to sign him in the summer of 2022.
The club did not follow up their pursuit last summer, but reports claim that they could return for him at the end of this season.
Luiz has been a key player in the centre of the park for the Villans this term. He has registered 10 goals and five assists in all competitions.
Arsenal previously made a maximum bid of £25 million in 2022. The midfielder is expected to cost at least double the price this summer.
The Gunners are looking for a versatile midfielder ahead of next season and Luiz fits the bill. He can play as a number six or a number eight.
Everton's Amadou Onana is another player on their radar. The Belgian could also be available for £50m. Manchester United also admire him.
