Man Utd looking to sign former Chelsea defender?

Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for Barcelona defender Andreas Christensen before the transfer deadline next week.

The Red Devils have already signed two centre-backs in Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt this summer, but the former is injured until November.

Yoro is likely to be handled with extra caution after his ankle injury and he may not return to regular first-team action until the New Year.

Amidst this, Sport claim that United are keeping tabs on the situation of Christensen, who could leave the Blaugrana in the next few days.

The Catalan giants are determined to register Dani Olmo, but they require a significant sale before the deadline in order to recoup more funds.

Christensen is open to leaving the club amid his reduced game time and it is claimed that he could be sold for around €25 million, as per Sport.

The former Chelsea man could be tempted to return to the Premier League. Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are also interested in him.
